The Brainchild of a Pair of Artists
Back in 1965, up-and-coming artists Joan and Stephen Feinsod faced a constant challenge, brought on by the commercial success of their work: Where to find affordable picture frames that met their high standards of artistry and excellence? For these two, the solution was to order large quantities of quality framing materials and create their own frames at an exceptional value.

Little did they know, as they put their first custom-made frames together and sold the extras to fellow artists at shows and exhibitions, they were planting the seed for one of the largest and most respected framing companies in America. Soon, they were in heavy demand and found themselves spending more time and effort filling picture frame orders and less time painting and sketching.

Growth in Leaps and Bounds
Several years later, with their full-time commitment, Joan and Stephen moved Graphik Dimensions Ltd. (GD) out of their home and into its first real location in Flushing, NY, where the GD family grew in leaps and bounds. The company quickly established a solid reputation among artists, photographers and galleries, the company's first widely available catalog was printed in the early 80s.

With continued success came the demand for more skilled craftspeople, new equipment, and a bigger building to contain it all. In 1992, after conducting a nationwide search, Graphik Dimensions Ltd. relocated to its current home in the Home Furnishing Capitol of the World - High Point, NC.

Over the years, the company has taken several nationally recognized Excellence and Achievement in Catalog Marketing Gold Awards from the American Catalog Awards. The Feinsods also helped found Woodlands 2000, an organization that plants over 100 thousand trees a year and promotes products that are rainforest materials free and environmentally friendly.

Products and Services Beyond the Picture Frame
Today, still owned by Joan and Stephen Feinsod, the premier products and services from GD continue to be in high demand. And, thanks to the dedication of its people, including both their daughters who have taken an active role in the company's expansion, the company has grown into a hive of creative activity, continually expanding its many services.

Beyond the picture frame, GD offers fine art giclee printing, custom mirrors, specialized business services and web design services. And, because GD believes there is an artist inside everyone, these services are totally accessible to everyone in every corner of the world at the interactive website, www.Pictureframes.com.

Seeing the Creativity in Everyone
While the seeds of the company may have been firmly rooted in the world of art, anyone with an enthusiasm to create has a home at GD, and the branches of Joan's and Stephen's dream now extend to grandmothers, galleries, schools, shops, photographers and businesses the world over. Plus, Joan and Stephen not only continue to support art and photography organizations throughout the country, but they continue to create. In her spare time, Joan paints and exhibits her art, while Stephen explores his passion for digital photography. Of course, they only display their work in frames from Graphik Dimensions Ltd.
